Technicolor, a company which services all filmmakers from studios to independent production companies, recently contacted Spectra Los Angeles to manage a very complex installation of linoleum flooring. Armstrong, Marmorette was their product of choice, and one that the customer envisioned two colors of linoleum cut into a film strip appearance. Another important detail for the customer was the ability for the product to display a continuous flow connecting the lobby to adjoining corridors as well as the elevator cab. Technicolor needed a flooring contractor that could provide solutions that would result in a very creative appearance with their new linoleum.
Just as it takes a quality film to project a movie, it takes a skilled flooring contractor to take a customers image and turn into a masterpiece on the floor. Curtis Colegrove from Spectra Los Angeles took on the challenge from the very beginning, making sure every detailed was covered so Technicolor would receive the flooring appearance they expected. Precise seaming of linoleum was mandatory, one that Curtis was able to accomplish through a combination of laser cutting and experienced installers. Curtis thorough communication with all parties involved resulted in an accurate installation exceeding the customers’ expectations.
